A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northern Northampton County through 315 PM EDT. At 230 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Nassawadox, or near Exmore, moving southeast at 5 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northern Northampton County, including the following locations. Birdsnest, Machipongo, Wardtown, Franktown and Silver Beach. MAX HAIL SIZE. 0.88 IN MAX WIND GUST. 45 MPH

Coastal Waters from the NC/VA Border to Currituck Beach Light NC out 20 NM. * Until 330 PM EDT. * At 215 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near 10 Nm East Of Virginia Beach Oceanfront, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Rappahannock River. * Until 300 PM EDT. * At 153 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Longs Creek Inlet to near Coleman Bridge, moving southeast at 20 knots.
