A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern Pasquotank, southeastern Camden, southeastern Perquimans, southeastern Currituck and southeastern Chowan Counties through NOON EDT. At 1117 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Cape Colony, or 12 miles south of Hertford, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Sanderling, Cape Colony, Point Harbor, Snug Harbor, Stevenson Point, Spot, Listers Corner, Saint Johns, Glen Cove, Harbinger, Jarvisburg, Frog Island, Powells Point, Somerset and Mamie. MAX HAIL SIZE. 0.75 IN MAX WIND GUST. 45 MPH
