Showers and embedded thunderstorms continue to lift northward along the Chesapeake Bay. Recent observations have shown an uptick in recent gusts to around 15 to 20 knots. These will be rather sporadic in nature but could bring visibilities down to around 2 to 4 nautical miles at times. Additionally, there will be a risk of occasional lightning strikes over the waters. Mariners should remain alert for threatening weather, and consider remaining in or close to safe harbor.
