Sporadic gusts up to 20 knots are possible until dusk. As a series of rain showers cross the middle to lower tidal Potomac River, there may be brief enhancements in the northeasterly winds. Based on the latest observations, gusts up to 20 knots were being observed. These sporadic gusts may continue until dusk before decreasing in strength. Mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should exercise extra caution if navigating the waters during this time.
