Potomac River at Edwards Ferry affecting Loudoun and Montgomery Counties. Potomac River at Point of Rocks affecting Loudoun and Frederick Counties. Shenandoah River at Millville affecting Jefferson, Warren and Clarke Counties. Conococheague Creek at Fairview affecting Washington County. Cacapon River near Great Cacapon affecting Morgan County. . For the Potomac River. including Paw Paw, Hancock, Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry, Point of Rocks, Edwards Ferry, Little Falls. Moderate flooding is forecast. For the Shenandoah River. including Millville. Minor flooding is forecast. For the Rappahannock River. including Remington, Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg. Minor flooding is forecast. For the Cacapon River. including Great Cacapon. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Potomac River at Edwards Ferry. * WHEN. Until Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 20 feet, the basements of the Edwards Ferry and Rileys Lockhouse are flooded. Backwater flooding may affect homes on the Loudoun County side of the river near Broad Run in Sterling. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 20.3 feet, or 5.3 feet above flood stage. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 AM EDT Thursday was 20.3 feet. - Forecast. The river will rise to 21.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning to 14.7 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will rise to 14.8 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History.
