SMWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA. Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA. Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA. York River. * Until 945 PM EDT. * At 832 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from San Marcos Wreck to 6 nm northwest of Mobjack Bay to near Coleman Bridge, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. New Point Comfort, Nassawadox Reef, Wolf Trap, Tangier Island, Tue Marshes Light, Stingray Point, Onancock Inlet, Occohannock Reef, The Cell, Cape Charles Harbor, Windmill Point, Lower Bernard Island, Rappahannock Range Light, Rappahannock Light, Nandua Pungoteague Reef, Mobjack Bay, Gwynns Island, Gwynns Island Reef, Anglers Reef, and Coleman Bridge.

At 812 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Fort Eustis, or 7 miles southeast of Surry, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near. Newport News and Fort Eustis around 820 PM EDT. Lee Hall around 825 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Rushmere, Lackey, Chippokes State Park, Water Country U.S.A., Oriana, Bacons Castle, Dare, Newport News Golf Course, Poolesville, and Moonlight.
