Until 4 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by runoff from earlier rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of central North Carolina, including the following county, Wilson. * WHEN. Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 731 PM EDT, heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms has caused many creeks and streams to rise out of their banks. While the threat of flash flooding has lessened, flooding of low-lying areas and roadways will continue this evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Wilson, Elm City, Sharpsburg, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Saratoga, Sims, New Hope, Willbanks and Buckhorn Reservoir.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. Neuse River At Kinston affecting Lenoir and Jones Counties. For the Neuse River. including Kinston. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River at Kinston. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, Flooding of the campground at the Nature Center is expected. Water encroaches onto other properties along the south side of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 AM EDT Friday the stage was 15.8 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM EDT Friday was 16.2 feet. - Forecast.
