* WHAT. Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE. Chowan and Perquimans Counties along the Albemarle Sound. * WHEN. Until 4 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. Neuse River At Kinston affecting Lenoir and Jones Counties. For the Neuse River. including Kinston. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River at Kinston. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, Flooding of the campground at the Nature Center is expected. Water encroaches onto other properties along the south side of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 AM EDT Friday the stage was 15.8 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM EDT Friday was 16.2 feet. - Forecast. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. Wilson County. * WHEN. Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1115 PM EDT, Several creeks and streams remain in minor flood along Contentnea Creek near Black Creek and at Forest Hills Road near Wilson. These creeks will likely remain elevated for the next few hours before finally receding overnight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Wilson, Elm City, Sharpsburg, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Saratoga, Sims, New Hope, Willbanks and Buckhorn Reservoir.
