Areas of fog continue across most of Southern New England early this morning. Visibilities could be as low as one quarter mile at times in foggy areas. Improvement in visibilities is expected by mid morning Sunday. Motorists should be prepared to encounter sudden changes in visibility. Use low beam headlights in foggy areas and keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.

Fog has developed across parts of Southern Connecticut from New Haven east through New London as well as Eastern Long Island this evening. There are patches of dense fog where visibilities will be reduced to a quarter mile or less. Motorists should be prepared for quickly changing visibilities. Slow down, allow for extra space between vehicles and use your low beam headlights in the fog.
