Currituck Sound. At 410 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Deal Island to 8 nm west of Knotts Island Bay to 19 nm north of The Mouth Of The Perquimans River, moving east at 20 knots.

At 408 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Knotts Island to near Moyock to near Morgans Corner. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD.
