The areas affected include. Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-North Carolina border out to 20 nm. Coastal waters from NC VA border to Currituck Beach Light NC out 20 nm. Currituck Sound. At 410 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Deal Island to 8 nm west of Knotts Island Bay to 19 nm north of The Mouth Of The Perquimans River, moving east at 20 knots.

At 408 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Knotts Island to near Moyock to near Morgans Corner. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Virginia Beach, Currituck, Knotts Island, and Moyock around 415 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Burnt Mills, Snowden, Pierceville, Tar Corner, Gregory, Sharon, Munden, Barco, Waterlily, and Sligo.
