At 814 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Hampton University to near Norfolk NAS to near Old Dominion University. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Hampton, Ocean View, Norfolk, Grand View, Norfolk NAS, Fort Monroe, and Buckroe Beach around 820 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Bayside, Fox Hill, Phoebus, Langley View, Wards Corner, Messick, North Virginia Beach, Willoughby Spit, Plum Tree Island Refuge, and Raleigh Terrace.
