At 1148 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lawrenceville to near Gasburg to near Littleton. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Barley around 1155 PM EDT. Radium around 1200 AM EDT. Purdy around 1205 AM EDT. Roanoke Rapids, Emporia, and Gaston around 1210 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Adams Grove, Grizzard, Gum Forks, Bufford Crossroads, Lanes Corner, Dolphin, Pleasant Shade, Henrico, Bryants Corner, and Slates Corner.
