At 1154 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Petersburg to 6 miles northwest of Purdy. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Petersburg, Purdy, Fort Gregg-Adams, Prince George, and Carson around 1200 AM EDT. Disputanta and Stony Creek around 1210 AM EDT. Jarratt around 1215 AM EDT. Garysville and Burrowsville around 1220 AM EDT. Sussex and Cabin Point around 1225 AM EDT. Waverly around 1235 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Taylors Corner, Birchett Estate, Addison, Booker, Yale, Spring Grove, Wharfs Store, Petersburg National Battlefield, Hilda, and Richard Bland College.
