At 1040 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Sedley, or near Courtland, moving east to northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. This strong thunderstorm will be near. Sedley around 1050 PM EDT. Ivor around 1110 PM EDT. Zuni around 1120 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Vicksville, Pons, Berlin, Manry, Indika, Central Hill, Whitley, Collosse, Dory, and Walters.

FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Southeastern York County in southeastern Virginia. The City of Hampton in southeastern Virginia. The Southern City of Newport News in southeastern Virginia. The City of Poquoson in southeastern Virginia. * Until 145 AM EDT. * At 1031 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Newport News, Hampton, Langley AFB, Christopher Newport University, Northampton, Beaconsdale, Grand View, Langley View, Raleigh Terrace, Hilton Village, Messick, Plum Tree Island Refuge and Fox Hill.
