IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near. Wakefield around 645 PM EDT. Dendron around 700 PM EDT. Ivor around 705 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Booth Fork, Pons, Newville, Ellis Fork, Manry, Runnymede, Beachland, Delk Crossroads, and Littleton.

SMWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA. Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA. * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 626 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Smith Point to near Longs Creek Inlet to near Gwynns Island Reef, moving northeast at 15 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Windmill Point, Nassawadox Reef, Lower Bernard Island, Rappahannock Range Light, Rappahannock Light, Nandua Pungoteague Reef, Crisfield, Gwynns Island, Gwynns Island Reef, Tangier Island, Anglers Reef, Smith Point, Stingray Point, Hole In The Wall, Onancock Inlet, Occohannock Reef, Watts Island, San Marcos Wreck, and Northern Neck Reef.

At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Longs Creek Inlet, moving east at 10 knots. Breaking waves of 3 to 5 ft combined with long period swell will result in rough surf conditions and a high risk of rip currents. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
