* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of northeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Gates and Hertford and southeast Virginia, including the following county and independent city, City of Suffolk and Isle of Wight. * WHEN. Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 739 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area during the next hour or so. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Holland, Suffolk, Como, Carrsville, Cleopus, Dort, Wyanoke, Elwood, Topsy, Riddicksville, Bartonsville, Boaz, Lummis and Mapleton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
