FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Central Camden County in northeastern North Carolina. Northwestern Currituck County in northeastern North Carolina. Southeastern Pasquotank County in northeastern North Carolina. Northeastern Perquimans County in northeastern North Carolina. * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 251 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Elizabeth City, Weeksville, Whitehall Shores, Shiloh, Nixonton, Taylors Beach, Bartlett, Bob White Fork, Symonds Creek, Riddle, Coinjock and Forestburg.
