A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas. Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-North Carolina border out to 20 nm. Coastal waters from NC VA border to Currituck Beach Light NC out 20 nm. Currituck Sound. At 159 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Sandbridge, moving southeast at 25 knots. Locations impacted include. Sandbridge, Buoy 4a Drydocks, and Deal Island.
