Currituck Sound. * Until 330 PM EDT. * At 223 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Sandbridge, moving northeast at 15 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Sandbridge and 10 Nm East Of Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

At 301 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Sandbridge, moving northeast at 10 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include. Sandbridge and 10 Nm East Of Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

At 304 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles east of Back Bay, or 8 miles east of Virginia Beach, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of the southeastern City of Virginia Beach, including the following locations. Sigma and Sandbridge Beach.
