At 425 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Rescue to near Isle Of Wight to Ivor. Movement was south at 10 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Smithfield, Windsor, Suffolk, and Zuni around 430 PM EDT. Crittenden around 440 PM EDT. Kings Fork around 450 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Booth Fork, Carrollton, Longview, Benns Church, Huntersville, Wills Corner, Bethel Church, Chuckatuck, Indika, and Lawson.

FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. The Central City of Chesapeake in southeastern Virginia. The City of Portsmouth in southeastern Virginia. * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 256 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2 inches in 30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Virginia Beach, Deep Creek, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Cradock, Fentress, Bowers Hill, Herberts Corner, Portlock, Chesapeake Airport, Hickory and Greenbrier.

Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
