At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Ahoskie to 8 miles southwest of Powellsville. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and frequent lightning. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Ahoskie, Cofield, and Powellsville around 345 PM EDT. Winton around 350 PM EDT. Harrellsville around 400 PM EDT. Gatesville and Roduco around 405 PM EDT. Gates around 415 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Goose Pond, Whites Crossroads, Tunis, Eure, Earleys, Newsome Store, Chowan Beach, Drum Hill, Republican, and Hazelton.
