* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of northeast North Carolina, including the following areas, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Eastern Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, Perquimans and Western Currituck and southeast Virginia, including the following areas, Chesapeake, Norfolk/Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach. * WHEN. Through this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Deep moisture across southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina will combine with a slow moving cold front today into tonight, leading to heavy rainfall across the region. Rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour are likely, especially this afternoon into this evening. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall. * WHERE. A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Camden, Currituck, Pasquotank and Perquimans. * WHEN. Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 851 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain fell due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring from Elizabeth City into Southern Camden County. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Currituck, Elizabeth City, Camden, Winfall, Elizabeth City State University, Weeksville, Whitehall Shores, Indiantown, Shiloh, Old Trap, Nixonton, Chapanoke, Corolla, Pasquotank, Taylors Beach, Belcross, Bartlett, Spences Corner, Gregory and Riddle. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
