Coastal waters from NC VA border to Currituck Beach Light NC out 20 nm. Currituck Sound. Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia - North Carolina Border from 20 to 40 nm. Waters from NC VA border to Currituck Beach Light NC from 20 to 40 nm. * Until 245 PM EDT. * At 1242 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Lynnhaven to 13 nm south of Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Fish Hook, Hot Dog Area Off Virginia Beach, Horseshoe, Chesapeake Light Tower, 10 Nm East Of Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Cape Henry Wreck, Cape Henry, Rudee Inlet, Sandbridge, Buoy 4a Drydocks, and Deal Island.

Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA. Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-North Carolina border out to 20 nm. Currituck Sound. James River from James River Bridge to Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. At 1220 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4th Island Bay Bridge to near Sewells Point to 12 nm southwest of Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, moving east at 20 knots.
