At 404 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles north of Bangor, or 7 miles east of South Haven, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Allegan. South Haven. Wayland. Otsego. Plainwell. Hartford. Bangor. Fennville. Martin. Van Buren SP. Dorr. Alamo. Pine Grove. Covert. Lawrence. Gobles. Hopkins. Bloomingdale. Moline. Breedsville.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southwest Michigan, including the following counties, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa and Van Buren. * WHEN. Until 1145 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 346 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - The first round of showers and thunderstorms produced 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain. A second round of storms was moving in as of 346 am. These storms could generate another 1.0 to locally 2.0 inches of rain. This will likely lead to urban and poor drainage flooding. Rises can be expected on the area small rivers and streams including the Macatawa, Rabbit, Buck and Plaster basins. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven, Hastings, Allegan, South Haven, Wyoming, Kentwood, Walker, Grandville, East Grand Rapids, Hudsonville, Zeeland, Coopersville, Wayland, Otsego, Plainwell, Lowell, Middleville and Ferrysburg. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
