Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding is possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Rainfall totals of 4 to 7 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 8 inches.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport LA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas. Neches River Near Alto affecting Anderson, Trinity, Houston and Cherokee Counties. Neches River Near Neches affecting Anderson, Houston and Cherokee Counties. Neches River Near Diboll affecting Angelina, Polk, Houston, Trinity and Tyler Counties. For the Neches River. including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neches River near Alto. * WHEN. From Monday evening until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 19.0 feet, Preparations should be completed for a moderate flood. Barns and farm buildings near the river will be threatened by high water. In addition, ranchers should have completed moving cattle and equipment to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 6.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening and continue rising to a crest of 18.7 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History.
