* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. Portions of northeast North Carolina, including the following areas, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Eastern Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, Perquimans and Western Currituck and Virginia, including the following areas, Chesapeake, Hampton/Poquoson, Isle of Wight, Newport News, Norfolk/Portsmouth, Northampton, Suffolk and Virginia Beach. * WHEN. Through this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Deep moisture across eastern Virginia and northeast North Carolina combined with a stalled cold front will lead to the potential for heavy rainfall today into this evening across Hampton Roads and parts of northeast North Carolina. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible under training storms, which may lead to flash flooding, especially in urban locations. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Gates, Hertford and Pasquotank. * WHEN. Until 1230 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 927 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Windsor, Gatesville, Ryland, Sunbury, Powellsville, Colerain, Harrellsville, Hobbsville, Corapeake, Askewville, Goose Pond, Trap, Wakelon, Rosemead, Newsome Store, Whites Crossroads, Mount Gould, Arrowhead Beach, Mill Crossroads and Buena Vista. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
