Cameras and observations indicate that areas of fog continue across portions of southeast Virginia and interior northeast North Carolina. Visibilities will vary between one half mile and one mile, but are as low as one quarter mile or less in a few spots. The fog is expected to persist through 8 am this morning, with improving visibilities thereafter. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam headlights only.
