* WHAT. Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. Portions of central, northwest, and western Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Albemarle, Greene and Nelson. In northwest Virginia, Page. In western Virginia, Augusta and Rockingham. * WHEN. Until 415 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings could be inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1025 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Flooding is expected to continue in the warned area as creeks and streams rise out of their banks. Earlier in the evening, the Nelson County 911 Center reported a few roads closed due to high water flowing over them near the Blue Ridge Mountains. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. This would carry storm totals to near 4 inches in a few spots, particularly along the crest of the Blue Ridge. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Crozet. Wintergreen. Afton. Montebello. Nellysford. Greenwood. Yancey Mills. White Hall. Greenfield. Boonesville. Mission Home. Shady Grove. Saint George. Bryant. Haneytown. Tyro. Jonesboro. Massies Mill. Lydia. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central Virginia, including the following counties, Albemarle and Nelson. * WHEN. Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 701 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that 2 to 5 inches have fallen over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Runoff from that rainfall will impact the Tye River and Rockfish River in Nelson County as well as the Mechams River, Moormans River, and the North Fork Rivanna River in Albemarle County. Gauges continue to show water rising across these areas. Water is already approaching the yards of homes along Free Union Road by the Mechams River in White Hall. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Crozet. Shipman. Free Union. Hollymead. Nellysford. Ivy. Arrington. Lovingston. Covesville. Batesville. North Garden. Faber. Rockfish. Elma. Flordon. Carrsbrook. Roseland. Earlysville. Tye River. A portion of west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Alleghany VA, Botetourt and City of Covington. * WHEN. Until 330 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 636 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages. Barbours Creek, Allen Creek, Bens Run, Big Hollow Branch, Brushy Lick, Blue Suck Branch, Beckner Branch, Blue Spring Run, Broad Run, Big Run, Buffalo Creek, Back Run and Back Creek. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
