Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD. * Until 430 PM EDT. * At 224 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 nm northwest of Mason Neck State Park to 16 nm west of Quantico to 26 nm west of Aquia Creek, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. * Strong thunderstorms will be near. Fairview Beach and Maryland Point around 305 PM EDT. Port Tobacco River, Nanjemoy Creek, and Mathias Point around 310 PM EDT. Popes Creek around 315 PM EDT. U.S. 301 Nice Memorial Bridge around 320 PM EDT. At 340 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This front was located along a line extending from 21 nm northwest of Middle River to 14 nm west of Back River to 13 nm west of Annapolis, moving east at 20 knots. Locations impacted include. Pinehurst, Turkey Point, North Point State Park, Fort Smallwood Park, Hart Miller Island, Magothy River, Rock Hall, Dobbins Island, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Tolchester Beach, Pooles Island, Spesutie Island, Love Point, Gunpowder River, Sandy Point State Park, Baltimore Light, Northeast River, Sevenfoot Knoll, and Aberdeen Proving Ground.
