Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD. * Until 300 PM EDT. * At 124 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 27 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park to 22 nm west of Quantico to 14 nm west of Aquia Creek, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. * Locations impacted include. Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Until 10 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
