Portions of southwest Louisiana, including the following parishes, East Cameron, Northern Calcasieu, Southern Calcasieu and West Cameron and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Lower Jefferson, Northern Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, Southern Orange and Upper Jefferson. * WHEN. Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop tonight into Thursday morning. The showers are expected to produce high rain rates between 1 and 3 inches per hour. In southeast Texas, Bolivar Peninsula, Brazoria Islands, Chambers, Coastal Brazoria, Coastal Galveston, Coastal Harris, Coastal Matagorda, Fort Bend, Galveston Island, Inland Brazoria, Inland Galveston, Inland Harris, Inland Matagorda, Matagorda Islands, Northern Liberty, Southern Liberty and Wharton. * WHEN. Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris still present from Hurricane Beryl. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - The continued presence of a stationary front and upper level trough, along with deep Gulf moisture, will support the potential for heavy rainfall through tomorrow afternoon. The main rainfall threat window will begin tomorrow morning. Rainfall totals of 3-6" are expected along the immediate coast, with 2-4" totals expected along the I-10 corridor. At 609 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Hardin to near Fannett to 15 miles southwest of Sabine Pass to 25 miles southeast of High Island. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Lumberton, Vidor, Bridge City, West Orange, Sour Lake, Nome, Central Gardens, Sabine Pass, Johnsons Bayou, Hamshire, Sabine National Wildlife, Mauriceville, Bevil Oaks, and China. This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 832.
