At 1229 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Burkett, moving south at 5 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Coleman, Santa Anna, Cross Plains, Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Burkett, Atwell, Cross Cut, Lake Brownwood, Byrds, Rowden, Grosvenor, Lake Brownwood State Park, Echo, Fisk, and Thrifty.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Callahan and Coleman. * WHEN. Until 300 PM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1255 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Coleman, Santa Anna, Cross Plains, Putnam, Burkett, Cross Cut, Grosvenor, Atwell, Valera, Echo and Fisk. - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 319 and 322. This includes the following Low Water Crossings. FM-RD 136 crossing Hords Creek, Colorado St. crossing Hords Creek Draw, County Road 172 crossing Little Pecan Bayou, County Road 485 crossing Indian Creek, County Road 300 crossing Home Creek and Liveoak crossing Hords Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
