Gusty winds are continuing over western and central Lake Erie as a small area of low pressure passes north of the lake this morning. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knots are likely for a few hours. Winds will subside by this afternoon. Mariners should be prepared for strong winds and rough waves this morning. Waves of 3 to 5 feet are expected from the Islands points west, with waves of 4 to 7 feet east of the Islands. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the nearshore waters.
