At 110 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Phelps Lake to near Fort Barnwell to 10 miles west of Clinton. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. New Bern, Kinston, Washington, Warsaw, La Grange, River Road, Mount Olive, Grifton, Phillips Crossroads, Kornegay, Belhaven, Killkenny, Sladesville, Ransomville, Ponzer, Scranton, Pinetown, Gum Neck, Kilkenny, and Pungo.
