A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Anson, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Guilford, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Nash, Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond, Sampson, Scotland, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne and Wilson. * WHEN. From this morning through midnight tonight. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Scattered to numerous showers and storms will develop this morning and increase in coverage through the afternoon and evening. * WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Durham and Orange. * WHEN. Until 145 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1043 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain has resulted in between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen within the past 1 hour. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Durham, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Butner, Parkwood, Eno River State Park, Bethesda, Research Triangle, Gorman, Jordan Lake and Falls Lake.

Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Durham, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Butner, Parkwood, Eno River State Park, Bethesda, Research Triangle, Gorman, Jordan Lake and Falls Lake.

Southeastern Orange County in central North Carolina. * Until 400 PM EDT. * At 1249 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly HAZARD. Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
