At 551 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Cedar Hill, or 14 miles north of Aztec, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Durango, Bondad, Falfa, and Oxford. This includes the following highways. U.S. Highway 550 in Colorado between mile markers 1 and 16. U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 85 and 90. Colorado 172 between mile markers 15 and 23.

Portions of Colorado, including the following areas, Animas River Basin, Central Gunnison and Uncompahgre River Basin, Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Grand and Battlement Mesas, Northwest San Juan Mountains, Paradox Valley/Lower Dolores River, San Juan River Basin, Southwest San Juan Mountains, Uncompahgre Plateau and Dallas Divide, Upper Gunnison River Valley and West Elk and Sawatch Mountains and southeast Utah, including the following areas, Canyonlands/Natural Bridges, La Sal and Abajo Mountains and Southeast Utah. * WHEN. Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, including slot canyons and arroyos. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Abundant monsoonal moisture will fuel thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall rates and lead to the possibility of excess runoff. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
