Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union and southeast New York, including the following counties, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Queens and Richmond (Staten Island). * WHEN. Until 700 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 420 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. Locally higher amounts are possible. Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Fairfield, Middlesex, New Haven and New London, northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen and Passaic, and southeast New York, including the following counties, Orange, Rockland and Westchester. * WHEN. Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 258 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. FFWOKX The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Central Fairfield County in southern Connecticut. Central New Haven County in southern Connecticut. Putnam County in southeastern New York. Northern Westchester County in southeastern New York. * Until 545 PM EDT. * At 241 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Law enforcement reported. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
