Coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 nm. * Until 400 PM EDT. * At 258 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Axel Carlson Reef, moving east at 15 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Sea Girt Reef, Shark River Reef, Point Pleasant Beach, Manasquan Inlet, Axel Carlson Reef, Silverton, and Lavallette.
