* WHAT. Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of southwest Illinois, including the following counties, Monroe and Randolph. * WHEN. Until 445 PM CST. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 231 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Waterloo, Chester, Ste. Genevieve, Sparta, Red Bud, Bremen, Coulterville, Tilden, Evansville, Baldwin, St. Mary, New Design, Eden, Preston, Blair, Prairie Du Rocher, Prairie, Hecker, Ellis Grove and Ruma.

FFWLSX The National Weather Service in St Louis has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for. Southeastern Jefferson County in east central Missouri. Southeastern Washington County in east central Missouri. Northwestern Madison County in southeastern Missouri. Sainte Genevieve County in southeastern Missouri. Saint Francois County in southeastern Missouri. * Until 430 PM CST. * At 153 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Farmington, Bonne Terre, Desloge, Ste. Genevieve, Bismarck, Leadwood, Park Hills, Iron Mountain Lake, Bloomsdale, Irondale, Rocky Ridge, Knob Lick, Weingarten, Iron Mountain, Roselle, Leadington, Caledonia, French Village, Doe Run and Valles Mill. This includes the following State Parks. St. Joe State Park, St. Francois State Park, Hawn State Park, Felix Valle House State Park and Missouri Mines Historic Site. This includes Interstate 55 in Missouri between exits 150 and 170.

River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 142 PM CST, emergency management reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen, resulting in water over the road in Salem, IL. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Belleville, O'Fallon, East St. Louis, Fairview Heights, Swansea, Centralia, Shiloh, Salem, Mascoutah, Centreville, Breese, Lebanon, Freeburg, Millstadt, New Baden, Carlyle, Scott AFB, Smithton, Trenton and New Athens.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Big River at Byrnesville. * WHEN. From Tuesday afternoon to late Friday evening. * IMPACTS. At 22.4 feet, At this level, Twin Rivers Bridge Road must be closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:45 AM CST Monday the stage was 2.6 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon and then crest near 22.5 feet Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
