Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

Michigan Waters of Lake Erie from Detroit River to North Cape MI. * WHEN. The maximum winds are expected around 4 PM EDT Friday with the largest waves expected around 11 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS. Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Numerous rain showers, which will move in late tonight and overnight, will bring the chance to see localized higher wind gusts up to 40 knots through the mid- morning hours.

* WHAT. Minor lakeshore flooding. * WHERE. Monroe County. * WHEN. Until 10 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Some water on low lying roads and property along the lakeshore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. The gauge at Toledo has reported water levels of 65 inches above low water datum. Northeast winds at 20 to 25 mph, with gusts to 30-35 mph, will likely continue to support water levels of at least 60 inches above low water datum this evening and overnight. Minor flooding will be possible along the lakeshore.
