The areas affected include. Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD. Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD. At 402 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This front was located 7 nm southeast of Turkey Point. The front was nearly stationary.

Scattered thunderstorms are developing over portions of Delmarva and interior southern southern New Jersey at this hour. Some of these storms could produce strong winds up to 50 mph in addition to heavy downpours leading to the threat of localized flooding. The threat for storms will continue through this afternoon with further storm development possible farther north over southeastern PA. Scattered storms will quickly diminish early this evening.
