Shell Rock River at Shell Rock affecting Butler, Bremer and Black Hawk Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. The Cedar River at Waterloo, or from the Waterloo-Cedar Falls city limits to Spring Creek near La Porte City. * WHEN. Until early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, The Riverview Recreation Area is closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.4 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

From Thursday morning to early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. At 15.0 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Agricultural and low land flooding is ongoing. Water affects much of 22nd Avenue Road northwest of Vinton. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.5 feet and rising. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 15.7 feet early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
