At 713 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 21 nm southeast of Hillsborough Bay to 10 nm east of Sarasota Bay to 10 nm northeast of Venice, moving west at 20 knots.

This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area.
