At 1118 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Delray Beach, moving northeast at 25 knots.

HLSMFL This product covers South Florida **Tropical Storm Warnings Discontinued** NEW INFORMATION --------------- * CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS: - All watches and warnings have been canceled * CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS: - None * STORM INFORMATION: - About 510 miles north-northwest of Miami FL or about 460 miles north of Naples FL - 32.8N 83.0W - Storm Intensity 70 mph - Movement North or 360 degrees at 30 mph SITUATION OVERVIEW ------------------ Tropical Storm Helene continues to move into Georgia early this morning. The following are the primary hazards of concern with Hurricane Helene for South Florida: * Coastal Flooding/Surge - Minor coastal flooding is possible today during high tide along the southwest Florida coast. * Rainfall - Additional rainfall of 1-2 inches is possible across SW Florida today and up to an inch over SE Florida. * Wind - Tropical storm force winds are no longer expected across South Florida. * Tornadoes - A tornado threat is no longer expected across South Florida. POTENTIAL IMPACTS ----------------- * SURGE: Little to no additional surge impacts expected. * WIND: Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across South Florida. * FLOODING RAIN: Additional impacts from flooding rain are still a concern across Southwest Florida.
