SMWMFL The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Biscayne Bay. Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM. * Until 345 PM EDT. * At 307 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over North Bay Village, or over Miami Beach, moving east at 5 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Virginia Key, Sunny Isles, Bay Harbor Islands, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Surfside, North Bay Village, Indian Creek, Golden Beach, and Hallandale.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Palm Beach. * WHEN. Until 430 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 225 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Margate, Lighthouse Point, Coconut Creek, Parkland, Hillsboro Beach, Boca Pointe, Boca Del Mar, Godfrey Road, Hamptons At Boca Raton, Mission Bay, Hillsboro Ranches, Sandalfoot Cove, Hillsboro Pines, North Pompano Beach, Boca West and Fau South Campus. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
