The areas affected include. Coastal waters from Aventura to Ocean Reef from 30 to 60 NM excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas. At 148 PM EDT, Doppler radar scattered strong thunderstorms slowly moving west southwest capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail.

FFWMFL The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Northern Broward County in southeastern Florida. Southeastern Palm Beach County in southeastern Florida. * Until 400 PM EDT. * At 1252 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen from the nearly stationary thunderstorms. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area during the next hour or so from the nearly stationary thunderstorms. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Sunrise, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Tamarac, Margate, Lauderhill, Coconut Creek, Oakland Park, North Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Parkland, Wilton Manors, Godfrey Road, Boca Pointe, Mission Bay and Boca Del Mar.

At 126 PM EDT, Doppler radar that the thunderstorms have dissipated over the area. However, moderate rains are still occurring over the warning area which can still produce additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch on top of the already that 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen during the last hour. These additional rainfall amounts can still be capable of causing flash flooding in the area. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Palm Beach. * WHEN. Until 315 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 115 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen from the slow moving storms. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area during the next couple of hours. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. If the rainfall amounts increase more than forecast, then a Flash Flood Warning may be needed for this area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
