The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia. Alabama. Chattahoochee River at 14th Street at Columbus affecting Russell, Muscogee, Chattahoochee and Lee Counties. For the Chattahoochee River Basin. including Columbus. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue. * WHERE. Chattahoochee River at 14th Street at Columbus. * WHEN. Until Monday evening. * IMPACTS. At 31 feet, Minor flooding continues along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on the 14th Street bridge. Large portions of the River Walk in Columbus will be completely covered with flowing water up to 4 feet deep. Flood waters approach the maintenance doors underneath the Columbus Convention and Trade Center. The Phenix City Amphitheater in Alabama will be flooded up to 3 feet deep. Portions of the River Walk in Phenix City will be under one foot of water and will be closed to the public. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:15 PM EDT Friday /6:15 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was 28.9 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.8 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 27 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
